River Water Intake

Trialta Projects installed a fresh water intake system in Northeast British Columbia. The water was used for hydraulic fracturing.

Phase One involved the installation of three steel casing pipes that were flush with the river’s edge, submersible water pump’s and a header system. The casing pipes were completed with fish screens and a screen flushing system.

A water dam was engineered and installed to divert the river’s current to allow for excavation and installation during construction.

Phase Two completed the construction of pipelines and the associated equipment required to connect the river water to the existing fresh water storage facility.
